Tesria 0.7

Tesria 0.7, released September 24, 2026, is the first release you install without building anything: it comes as ready-made images, and a small download with the few files needed to run them.

Before you upgrade

These only matter if you already run Tesria 0.6. See Upgrading for the steps themselves.

  • Installed with git clone? That keeps working exactly as before: git pull, then docker compose up -d --build. The containers are recreated once, because Tesria’s images now have names. Your wiki is not touched.

  • Want the ready-made images instead? Unzip tesria-deploy.zip into a new folder, copy your .env into it, and run docker compose pull and docker compose up -d there. Your wiki carries over: Docker keeps it under the project’s name, not the folder’s. If you set up real visitor addresses, run that setup again from the new folder.

What is new

  • Ready-made images. Every release is published on Docker Hub and on GitHub’s registry, for Intel, AMD and ARM computers, so installing and upgrading is a download instead of a build, and needs half the memory. See Quick start.

  • tesria-deploy.zip. About 100 KB with everything needed to run those images: no source code, and no Git. Upgrading is unzipping the next one over it.

  • A space’s home page lists its contents, each section and the pages in it, numbered like the sidebar. An exported website’s front page shows the same.

0.7.1

Released the same day. On an exported website, choosing a page in the sidebar no longer scrolls the sidebar back to the top, so you keep your place in a long list of pages.

0.7.2

Released September 25, 2026. On a phone, an exported website opens each page first, with its list of pages behind a menu button in the top bar, instead of above the page. The button turns into a cross to close the list, and takes you back to where you were reading.

0.7.5

Released the same day. The sign-in page and the setup wizard show the TESRIA wordmark too, as the header does.

0.7.4

Released September 26, 2026. A new look for Tesria’s own mark and name; nothing else changes. Upgrade as usual; see Upgrading.

  • A new mark: four layers, one for each thing Tesria does (write, keep, share and automate), each in its own color, in the header, on exported websites and as the browser tab’s icon. It no longer takes on your accent color.

  • The name is now the TESRIA wordmark, as on tesria.com. A Tesria with its own name and logo still shows its own.

  • Teal is no longer one of the accent colors. If you had chosen it, Tesria now uses blue; choose another from the appearance menu. Teal text and highlights in your pages are unchanged.

0.7.3

Released September 25, 2026. Fixes from an outside review of Tesria’s code. Upgrade as usual; see Upgrading.

  • Restoring a backup works again. Since 0.6, a restore from the backups page left Tesria unable to read the restored wiki. If you restored since then and Tesria has not worked properly since, upgrade and restore again. A restore now also stops before changing anything if the attachments in the backup cannot be unpacked, instead of finishing with the pages but not their files.

  • Live editing ends when access does. Someone whose access to a page was taken away could keep editing it live for up to ten minutes. Tesria now checks every live editing connection when it opens and once a minute after, and ends it as soon as the person may no longer edit the page.

  • Canceling a restore that has not started yet works. It used to fail with an error, and the restore could run later anyway.

  • One more container keeps running. docker compose ps now shows migrate as Up instead of finished. That is expected: it brings a restored backup up to date, and checks the database every thirty seconds.
